As part of this commitment, we have developed an innovative Credit System to make your interaction with AI models more intuitive and hassle-free. This section will guide you through the benefits and workings of the Credit System.
One of the challenges when working with multiple AI models is dealing with different tokens, API keys, and pricing systems. The PromptChainer Credit System addresses this by introducing a single unified currency – Credits.
By using Credits as the standard currency for all AI models in PromptChainer, you no longer need to worry about the intricacies of each model’s tokens or pricing. Credits replace tokens and allow you to access and use various AI models without the need to manage individual API keys or understand complex pricing structures.
Behind the scenes, PromptChainer adjusts the Credits-to-Tokens ratio according to each model’s pricing. Our system continuously monitors and adjusts this ratio, ensuring you get the most value from your Credits. This dynamic adjustment means that even as prices change for different AI models, your experience remains consistent and straightforward.
By employing Credits, you can seamlessly move between different AI models within the PromptChainer interface. Whether you're interacting with GPT-4, DALL-E, or any other model, the Credit System ensures a fluid and simple experience. All you need to do is maintain a balance of Credits, and PromptChainer takes care of the rest.
PromptChainer also provides you the option to use your own OpenAI API key. This alternative is handy for those who want direct access to OpenAI’s models. However, it's important to note that by using your own API key, you will be restricted to interacting only with OpenAI's models and cannot utilize the other models available through PromptChainer. Additionally, due to internal policy changes, this option may be discontinued in the near future. We encourage users to consider the Credit System for a more versatile and sustainable experience with multiple AI models.
To switch between PromptChainer's Credit System and your OpenAI key, navigate to the "Settings" interface. There, you'll find a toggle button at the top. Simply adjust this toggle to select your desired mode of interaction.
